FAQ & Help

Hospice is a compassionate style to medical care and supportive services for family and patients with life-limiting illnesses. Hospice is for people who has a limited life expectancy. Hospice is for patients whose life expectancy is less than 6 months. We provide 24 hours a day, 365 days a year care that emphasis on controlling pain and managing symptoms of nausea, vomiting, change in appetite, shortness of breath and many more.

HHospice care is for individual who have a life expectancy of six months or less and have chosen to focus on relieving pain and symptoms management instead of aggressive curative treatments.

Diagnoses that usually are expected in Hospice care:
End stage heart disease, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, Respiratory diseases, Liver/Renal Failure, Cancer, AIDS/HIV, Neurologic Diseases and/or Stroke/Coma.

Patient who has Medicare and meets hospice criteria, then the government will pay as much as 100% of the cost. All medication that is required under hospice and medical supplies will be covered as well. Patient who do not have Medicare, but has private insurance should talk with their insurance company to find out if they are eligible. Most private insurance plans do cover for hospice care. Medicaid also provides coverage, but it varies by state.

Absolutely not! Even though your loved one’s illness may have gone to a point where that a cure is not likely – not likely enough to be worth the side effects of treatment. Does not mean it is giving up on your love one’s. Hospice emphasis on quality of life and easing the pain and symptoms management. This allow the patient to spend his or her last month’s focusing on more important meaningful things.

Once on service patient and family will have access to our complete hospice team, consisting of the board certified doctors, registered nurses, licensed social worker, certified hospice aide, spiritual counselor, hospice volunteers and bereavement counselor. The frequency of visits is based on the patient’s and family’s needs. Plan of care may change or evolve over time as each patient needs may change.
